Long ago.. before the fall of Ba Sing Sei, before the genocide of the Air Nomads, the creation of the Kyoshi warriors and the rise of Sozin, a young Southern Water Tribe boy was called to face his destiny, to become that avatar and restore the balance - Though that wouldn't be the beginning of our story...
Northern and Southern Tribes acting on petty selfishness chose to separate the koi spirits of the Moon and Ocean. The results brought on droughts, earthquakes and a disruption of the balance that many had never seen before. Neither side would give and eventually all factions became sucked into the battle to regain harmony or achieve self gain. In the end the Avatar was summoned to act as mediator, but, thinking that his southern heritage would make his choice one-sided, the argument still raged with many people suffering from the resulting natural disasters.
What can be done but hope for the future...?
