The Fire Nation rages a hundred year war on the Water Tribes and the Earth Kingdom, and hope is fading. The Avatar had disapeared about the same time the war began, when Souzin massacred the Air Nomads, and the Fire Lord ravished the other lands with his hosts. However, in the South Pole, two Water Tribe children discover an iceberg, containing a frozen boy. When he awakens, he reveals that he is the Avatar, and the Last Airbender left in the world. So he, Katara, Sokka, Toph, Momo, and Appa travel around the world, meeting new friends and running from the Fire Nation's clutches.
But what about the rest of the world? It must go on! Armies clash, but also people go on about their lives... babies are born, business is made, people feel the touch of death and the warmth of love, sickness and health, madness and sanity, life, family, friends, all things go on.
